The Angus town of Brechin on the banks of the River South Esk is just 25 miles north of Dundee and 40 miles from Aberdeen. Conveniently situated close to the A90 road, Brechin is around an hour by car from Aberdeen airport and the nearest mainline train station is at Montrose, eight miles away.

Often referred to as a ‘city' due to its cathedral, Brechin is home to Brechin City FC. As well as the historic Brechin Cathedral, there is an 11th century round tower, one of only two in mainland Scotland, and the Pictavia Centre. The Caledonian heritage steam railway runs between the Victorian Brechin station and Bridge of Dun.
