West Ferry is an area in the south-east of Dundee, close to Broughty Ferry. A mid to late Victorian suburb, it developed in the 1800s and at that time was one of the richest suburbs in Europe due to many of Dundee's jute barons building their homes here. It is now a conservation area. Many of the original houses, often with large gardens, benefit from the area's views across the Tay towards Fife.

Dawson Park is to the north of West Ferry and the A930 is to the south. There is easy access to Dundee City centre and to Broughty Ferry. There is a mainline train station in Dundee and a small airport with flights to London. Edinburgh airport is just over an hour's drive away.
